It is important to note my last post for Microsoft’s Technology Guarantee that is running right now because there are some special pricing that you can take advantage before September 2010 if you are so inclined to.

The current product offering for the Technology Guarantee works this way:

Eligibility: Customers who buy qualifying Office 2007 products between March 5, 2010 and
September 30, 2010.
License Types: Full Package Product (FPP), DOEM/OEM, and High Volume Services (HVS) Licenses

Now I said that there is a sweet point in purchasing right now. If you purchase MS Office Small Business Edition 2007 with your system build for $279, you will be qualified to download the Office Professional 2010 for free, a savings of $100 per license.

There are 3 groups of Office that you can choose from.

PKC Product Key Card- All three packages are part of the proload on their computer, new PC's only license cannot be moved from originally licensed machine. There is no media available on this device.
FPP Full Product Packaging - license can be applied to PKC, Can be moved from machine to machine, Mobile License Rights (can be loaded on dtp and nbk) -
VL & SA Volume Licensing and Volume Lic + Software Assurance - Downgrade rights, unlimited move between machines, all the rights of FPP, Upgrade rights if you purchase SA - Volume Licensing is available in three flavors, Open, Select and Enterprise.
