If you are accessing Internet sites from a public WiFi location you may be handing the keys of your Kingdom to an unfriendly lurker!

image One of our former employees recently sent me an link to an article about a gentleman who decided to test out a new FireFox add-on that allows you to collect information by “sidejacking” your account through HTTP session hijacking. Take a look at these articles that will give you some insight in this problem.

Herding Firesheep in New Your City -  Gary LosHuertos documented a session at his local Starbucks where he used the Firesheep program to view the comings and goings of people using the wireless service in the cafe. His narration of this session is a bit scary and worth a read.
